The Roots ft Christette Michelle and Wale- Rising Up
This is how I feel without my I pod! Most of the music that's in rotation on the radio is so terrible!!! Somebody please put real music in rotation....Seriously.

T.I. ft Justin Timberlake- "Dead and Gone"

I'm sold! I really like the majority of the material I'm hearing from T.I.'s new album. "Dead and Gone" is featuring Justin Timberlake . This duo has successful collaborated before on JT's song "My Love." What I particularly like the most about this song, is that it shows so much growth for T.I. Justin Timberlake's vocals are top notch as usual, which makes for a great song.
Check it out and let me know what you think:

Jennifer Hudson ft Fantasia- "I'm The Only Women"

I'm so excited about "I'm The Only Women" by Jennifer Hudson and featuring Fantasia. It was absolutely a great idea to put them on the same track. Two great strong voices and both American Idol contestants. This reminds me of a more mature version of Brandy and Monica's "The Boy is Mine." Check it out and let me know what you think...

John Legend ft Kanye West- "It's Over"

A new song has leaked from John Legend's new project. "It's Over" featuring Kanye West is yet another "out of the box" type song. (And yes that's yours truly in the picture above, on the far left) :-) I'm hearing that Kanye West and the Neptunes have produced several tracks on John Legends new album. It took a while for me to get into "Green Light" but now it's one of my favorite songs. I'd have to say I like the direction John Legend is going in especially with the producers he chose for the album. How can you go wrong the Kanye and the Neptunes? But I'm still interested in hearing more slow jams from Legend...

Musiq Soulchild Ft. Mary J. Blige- "If you leave"

I was light weight depressed when I heard Musiq Soulchild's song "Radio." I think the reviews on the song were so mixed that he wrote a blog on myspace explaining the reasons he went in the direction that he did with the song. In my opinion "Radio," sounds like a typical song playing on radio stations today. Which was shocking to me because Musiq has never gone down that route. He's stayed true to his Neo-soul style and produced quality material. Today I heard, "If you leave" and all was well in my musical world... It features Mary J. Blige and that's even shocking. I haven't really known Musiq to collaborate much but this was definitely a great choice. The song is awesome. I feel like now we are on the right track.
Listen to Musiq and Mary J.on "If you leave" and let me know somethin' people...

Robin Thicke- "Dreamworld"

"Dreamworld" is the latest song to leak off Robin Thicke's new album "Something Else." I think this song is simply amazing. It just may be one of my favorite songs by Thicke... His style is so great, so different. Every song I've heard from his new album has been top notch material and I'm eager to hear the album. Favorite line of the song "There would be no black or white and the world would treat my wife right, we could walk down in Mississippi and no one would look at us twice." Take a listen to "Dreamworld" and let me know what you think...

"Seventh Heaven"

1985's "The Last Dragon" is one of my top 5 favorite movies of all time. I love a good movie with a great soundtrack! "The Last Dragon" features Taimak (Leroy Green), Vanity (Laura Charles) and the late Julius Carry who played the hilarious character, Sho Nuff. The movie tells the story of "A young man [who] searches for the "master" to obtain the final level of martial arts mastery known as the glow!" -IMD....The Glow, which today would be known as Swag..lol. The movie found a way to combine martial arts, comedy and soul music. Vanity (My 80's idol)!! along with El Debarge lends vocals for the movie's soundtrack. Check out the video below of her performing the song "Seventh Heaven". This has got to be my favorite part of the movie hands down!
What you know about it???

Yikes!!!
Kat Deluna was booed after performing the Star Spangled Banner recently at a football game in Dallas. I must say her rendition of the anthem was certainly "different"... I bet she wanted to put her spin on it but well take a look and let me know what you think...
Now check out my girl Whitney's flawless rendition. I still get chills when I hear it.
