Tweet "Love Again"

Tweet's "Love Again" showed up on the Internet a couple of months ago and is expected to be off her upcoming album "Love,Tweet." This song is my favorite song of the year so far... I'm still patiently waiting for her album to drop. I'm hearing that it will come out this year. I'm keeping my fingers crossed...

Check it out:

Erykah Badu "Window Seat"

I must say that 2010 is off to a GREAT start! New music from Corinne Bailey Rae, Tweet, Sade AND E.BADU??? I love it! Check out this new song from Erykah Badu "Window Seat" from “New Amerykah Pt.2: Return of the Ankh”, due March 30. I love the beat on this song and it definitely has me on the edge of my seat for the new album...

Listen:

Sade "In Another Time"

Sade's new album "Soldier of Love," has several note worthy songs. One being "In Another Time" which is my favorite. Sade speaks to the listener re assuring (her) that "In Another Time" True love will come her way. Well at least that's my interpretation. I love the concept of this song... But I believe that Sade explains it best. Listen and read the lyrics below...

You'd be suprised girl
Soon they'll mean nothing to you
They'll fall into their brew
And take down some of the boys with them too
There's nothing
Nothing that you have to do
In another time girl
Your tears won't leave a trace
In another time girl
In another place
You've been down girl
Their whispers are hailstones in your face
You're so tired of waiting
For something to change
They don't know what to do with
Something so good
That you wouldn't hurt them
You wouldn't hurt them if you could
One of these days
They're gonna fall into their brew
And they'll know exactly what they did to you
Darling I just want you to know
Your tears won't leave a trace
In another time girl
In another time girl
In another place
Darling I just want you to know
Your tears won't leave a trace
In another time girl
In another time girl

Corinne Bailey Rae "Diving For Hearts"

I happen to love the new Corinne Bailey Rae album "The Sea," from begining to end. One of my favorite songs on the album is "Diving for hearts." The lyrics are amazing...I feel like she took the words right out of my mouth...The song really reminds me of Adele's hit single "Chasing Pavements." If you like that song you will LOVE "Diving For Hearts." Listen and read the lyrics below...

Verse one:
Till then I wasnt alive
I longed for you like the lovesick moon pulls the tide
So i peeled of my skin
I just slipped right in
and i become alive

Bridge:
Cause down here theres no fear
Theres no cause for panic
Theres just bright cold calm
I feel no harm
This underwater feelings abandon and it fires my heart

Chorus:
Was it emotion
Or should i keep on diving
Keep on diving down
Under this ocean
I long to keep on diving
Til my heart is found
Its got a hold on me
Cant forget the things ive seen
OOh

Verse 2:
Worlds will all end
And new worlds will begin
Its a thought so stark
We're at once determinant yet
So insignificant spinning out in
The velvet dark

Bridge:
Still down here theres no fear
Theres no cause for panic
Theres just bright cold calm
Theres no scar
So show me how to find it again if im lost show me
Where you are

Chorus:
Was it emotion
Or should i keep on diving
Keep on diving down
Under this ocean
I long to keep on diving
Til my heart is found
Its got a hold on me
Cant forget the things ive seen
OOh

( You have sheltered me)
( In the heart of the sea)
( Deep calls unto the deep)
( You break a sweat over me)

To be wise
And to run
Over the stones into the sea

Somethings got a hold on me
Cant forget the things ive seen

Daniel Merriweather ft. Adele "Water and a Flame"

Daniel Merriweather who was featured on Mark Ronson's album "Version" is releasing a new album in the U.S. called "Love and War." If you remember, Merriweather lends vocals to Ronson's rendition of "The Smiths" Motown hit "Stop Me" and the two worked together on Merriweathers "Love and War." (The title is perfect!) Daniel Merriweathers voice is pure soul. One songs off the album features one of my favorites Adele, titled "Water and a Flame" I love this song it gives me the chills its so beautiful! (Well Bittersweet) The album also features a song with Wale titled "Change." Listen to a couple of my favorites from the album which will be released in the U.S. January 2010...

Water and a Flame lyrics:

Seven days has gone so fast,
I really thought the pain would pass.
It's been nearly an hour,
since I thought of you.

But your not answering the phone,
I'd settle for a busy tone,
At least that I'd know that you're okay.
A girl like you ain't meant to go away.
Oh...

Now you're gone,
Theres nothing else I want.
Now that it's over,
There's nothing else I want.
What have I done,
looks like I was wrong.
Is everything really meant to change,
I guess we're like water and a flame.
water and a flame..

Adele:
I'm tired of this empty house,
I need a drink to get me out.
A couple more til I forget your name.

I saw a boy that looked like you,
I didn't know quite what to do,
It took a power of will to break my stare.
I realized what I wanted wasn't there.

Now you're gone,
Theres nothing else I want.
Now that it's over,
There's nothing else I want.

Is everything really meant to change,
I guess we're like water and a flame.
Water and a flame...

Daniel:
If you see me coming...
Adele:
I look away, I look away...
Daniel:
And if your mind is made up...
Adele:
I look away, I will look away...

Daniel:
If your worry bound
Adele:
I'm okay, I'm okay, yes I am
Daniel:
All this sorrow and this pain,
is going to go away

Daniel & Adele:
Now you're gone,
There's nothing else I want.
Now that it's over,
There's nothing else I want.
What have I done,
looks like I was wrong.
Is everything really meant to change,
I guess we're like water and a flame.
Water and a flame..

What I'm Listening To...

John Mayer "I'm Gonna Find Another You"

It's really over, you made your stand
You got me crying, as was your plan
But when my loneliness is through, I'm gonna find another you

You take your sweaters
You take your time
You might have your reasons but you will never have my rhymes
I'm gonna sing my way away from blue
I'm gonna find another you

When I was your lover
No one else would do
If I'm forced to find another, I hope she looks like you
Yeah and she's nicer too

So go on baby
Make your little get away
My pride will keep me company
And you just gave yours all away
Now I'm gonna dress myself for two
Once for me and once for someone new
I'm gonna do somethings you wouldn't let me do
Oh I'm gonna find another you

Robin Thicke "Sex Therapy"

Check out this new (to me) song by Robin Thicke, "Sex Therapy". The beat and the vocals are HOT!...

John Mayer "Who Says" Video

"Who Says" is the first single from John Mayer's new album "Battle Studies." The new album is due out next month and I am more than excited to hear it...

Q-Tip ft. Norah Jones "Life Is Better"

Q-tip's album "The Renaissance" was one of my favorite albums this year. I loved the track with Norah Jones "Life is Better." I'm really glad to see he did a video for the song. I probably hear this song while I'm in stores shopping more than anything. The video is in black and white (my favorite) and is super creative. It just makes me love the song even more...

Norah Jones has a new album coming out in November entitled "The Fall" and here is the first single, "Chasing Pirates" from the album...Love her voice! Love this song! I'm especially feeling the lyrics to this song right about now...

Listen to Norah Jones- "Chasing Pirates"
